Accommodation

Ladeside is a self-contained wing of Comrie House, with light and spacious self catering accommodation over two floors and views over the lade, which passes under the house, and the garden to the south.

Comrie House itself dates from the mid-18th century and has been owned by the Dundas family for over 200 years. The house sits in a wooded parkland setting beside the River Lednock, overlooked by the Melville Monument, an impressive obelisk erected in 1812 in memory of kinsman Henry Dundas, Viscount Melville, known by some at the time as the 'Uncrowned King of Scotland'. The woods above the House are renowned for their wildlife, the tight gorge formed by the River Lednock and the Deils Cauldron waterfall.

Ladeside has a private entrance along the riverside with ample parking. The property is entered by a bright hallway leading to a cosy sitting room with double windows overlooking the garden with plenty of seating, a cheerful gas fire, TV with a selection of CDs and DVDs. The kitchen includes all you would expect in a home from home including WiFi internet access. The dining area at the end of the kitchen also overlooks the garden.

The stairs from the hallway lead to the bedrooms and bathroom on the upper floor. The main bedroom is a spacious room with a comfortable king size bed, hand basin and plenty of storage. The second bedroom is a twin room with a hand basin. The large bathroom features a large cast iron bath and hand held shower. The upper landing extends into a comfortable seating area with a selection of books and local information.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden and the grounds of Comrie House and relax in the peace and tranquility of the landscape and the beautiful surroundings.

Ladeside self catering accommodation is a non-smoking property and pets are not accepted.
